📸 Instagram Support for NFTs: Meta launched digital collectibles powered by Polygon. A recent announcement unveiled that certain creators will now have the ability to showcase their NFTs on their profiles.
🌿 Lens Protocol Live: The team behind DeFi OG Aave launched Lens Protocol last month, a decentralized social graph that allows developers to build web3 social media platforms all run on the Polygon network.
⟠ Ethereum’s PoS Transition: In May, it was confirmed that Ropsten, the first major testnet, is scheduled to merge in early June. Assuming other leading testnets successfully transfer to Proof of Stake, Ethereum’s merge could happen by Q3. At time of writing, the Ropsten merge is expected to initiate in the next 24 hours.
⛓️ More Blockchain Use Cases: Ernest and Young, a 'Big Four' financial service giant, along with Polygon, launched the mainnet beta of its rollup, a Zk and Optimistic rollup hybrid. The team says Nightfall has applications within supply chain management, private NFT marketplaces, and blockchain mixers. This followed recent news that one of MakerDAO's project vaults was used to finance a shipment of Australian beef to Hong Kong.
