📅 Our Growing Event Calendar: July marked an exciting upswing in events, including numerous panels, presentations and a busy week catching up with friends old and new at EthCC in Paris. 

🇩🇪 Quantstamp Germany: We unveiled some exciting news this month: we are expanding our operations to Germany! With plans to hire 15 engineers by the end of 2022, we’re on the hunt for talented people to join our team. Interested in working for Quantstamp? 📈 Reddit Scaling with Arbitrum: Another win for Ethereum. Reddit recently announced plans to migrate its ERC-20 tokens to Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer 2 scaling solution using optimistic rollups.

🌐 API3DAO: Quantstamp audited API3’s api3-dao repository at commit 283e6ba and d3db4e7. API3 aims to develop APIs that meet the strict decentralization requirements of Web 3.0 without employing third-party intermediaries.

🔗 Clipper: Quantstamp audited Clipper’s galleon-dex repository at commit 0dff47e. Clipper is a DEX that optimizes for small trades. 

🌎 Coinvise: Quantstamp audited Coinvise’s coinvise-contracts repository at commit d0c58fc and b5f5c1f. Coinvise helps creators and communities build open economies by allowing them to create, collect and earn social tokens and NFTs.

📊 MCDEX: Quantstamp audited MCDEX’s mai-protocol-v3 repository at commit 50fb550 and edf2053. MCDEX is a protocol for perpetual swaps built on Arbitrum, an optimistic rollup built to scale Ethereum by Offchain Labs.

🗿 Reflexer: Quantstamp audited Reflexer's geb-lender-first-resort repository at commit 6945d87. Reflexer Finance is building RAI, the first non pegged, stable asset backed only by ETH.

💱 SEXP Exchange: Quantstamp audited SEXP Exchange’s sexp-binary-options repository at commit c6e1cb8 and 1ce0875. SEXP is a Tezos-based synthetic asset exchange. 

🛍️ StormX: Quantstamp audited StormX’s nft-shrug repository at commit 1d5d0ec and 03d4bc3. StormX allows you to earn crypto every time you shop from 800+ shops across 150 countries.


The State of Security for a Decentralized World

On July 22, Senior Security Researcher Martin Derka and a panel of fellow luminaries had a great discussion hosted by the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance. Find the full session on YouTube to learn more about the realities and challenges of the ever-evolving blockchain security space.

EthCC in Paris

EthCC is the largest annual European Ethereum event focused on technology and community. This month, several people from the Quantstamp team went to Paris for EthCC where we attended the conference, presented at ETHécole (a full-day conference organized by EthMagicians), hosted an event celebrating the launch of Quantstamp Germany, and participated in numerous side events.

📚 Lessons Learned from Over 300 Security Audits

On July 20, Quantstamp Research Engineer Sebastian Banescu presented "Lessons learned from over 300 security audits" at EthCC. If you missed it, you can view the full presentation on YouTube.


😈 Surviving DeFi: How to Prevent Economic Attacks

On July 21, Richard Ma presented at ETHécole, an event focused on Ethereum development, NFTs, and DAOs. In his presentation, Richard went over popular myths about defensive techniques and provided guidance and best practices to help projects protect themselves from economic attacks.


🇩🇪 Celebrating the Launch of Quantstamp Germany

On July 21, we hosted a small event in celebration of our recent expansion to Germany. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to this new chapter and encourage you to share our recent blog post with anyone who may be interested in joining our team! 



DeFi’s Composability: More Possibility, More Risk


DeFi is quite possibly the strongest and most obvious use case for the Ethereum blockchain. However, while DeFi's "money legos" offer seemingly endless potential, this comes along with increased complexity, complex interactions, and novel attack vectors. In our latest post, learn more about DeFi’s double-edged sword and how to navigate some of these dangers.



DLT Talents

Quantstamp is pleased to sponsor the current cohort of DLT Talents, an 18-week mentoring program for women in blockchain operated by the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. Other partners of the DLT Talents program include Mastercard, Commerzbank, KFW, the Digital Euro Foundation, and the International Token Standardization Association (ITSA). 

This month, Quantstamp team members Jaye Harrill, Karina Crooks, and Naoko Araki participated in a panel about their careers, working in blockchain, challenges in the security space, and more. Later in July, Jaye also participated in a women's panel on stablecoins, co-hosted by Mastercard. You can watch the full discussion on YouTube.
